Metal Dollar is the main stablecoin of the Metal X platform. It is backed by a basket of established, non-algorithmic bank reserve-backed stablecoins, including USDC, USDT, TUSD, PAX and PYUSD. Metal Dollar can easily be minted and redeemed at any point on the Metal X App.
Step 1
Select 'Mint Now'
There is a banner at the base of the Metal X platform. Connect wallet and select Mint Now.
Step 2
Select Collateral
Choose the stablecoin collateral that you would like to use to mint Metal Dollar.
Step 3
Input Mint Amount
Once collateral is selected, input the amount of Metal Dollar you would like to mint, or select maximum.
Step 4
Confirm Transaction
To confirm the transaction, select 'Mint' and prepare to sign with your selected WebAuth device.
Step 5
Sign Transaction
Sign the transaction with your selected device. You can set up additional signing keys at webauth.com
Step 6
Start Trading
You can redeem Metal Dollar back at any point for any of the stablecoins available in the Metal Treasury.
